Hey, 5 in 5 correct, and I didn't really expect it. But no surprise ether. Wasn't as easy as it seems though... My PC system is decent, but special: 10 years old Sony 5.1 receiver, connected by SP/DIF cable from PC (so receiver is doing the decoding), 2 main tall 4-way cheap but very big Quest speakers and a 8" Sony sub. In a small room with lousy acoustics. Didn't turn it very loud too. I'm sure the difference is much easier to spot in headphones. So yes, compression matters. Anyone knows what's the bitrate of their compressed audio?
Note: this is the test for your EARS, not your system. Obviously having a good system makes it easier, but any decent headphones pretty much equalize this test (pun intended)!
